FINAL WORK

The LFDT laboratory is available for experimental and numerical Level I (Bachelor) and II (Master) final assignments.

  • Numerical assignments: For numerical simulation, the laboratory uses an in-house developed meshless model in Fortran and C#, the open-source OpenFoam or Ansys Fluent software. These tools are used when the student is involved in laboratory research and projects; others can be used if the student needs them (e.g. collaboration with a company).

  • Experimental assignments: In experimental assignments, the work is designed as stand-alone work or to validate numerical simulations. It may involve using LabView, Arduino, Python, etc. and the associated visualisation and measurement equipment.

Especially for Level II final assignments, it is possible to combine numerical simulation with experimental validation of the code used for a given case.

For further information, please contact our staff during teaching hours, during office hours or by e-mail.
