During this course the student will become familiar with the behaviour of elasto-plastic materials when loaded beyond the plasticity threshold. Students will become familiar with non-linearity and irreversibility of the deformation process and their consequences, evident in both difficult understanding, as well as in solving the problems in the industrial environment. The problem of plastic deformation is presented generally enough to make an engineering-oriented graduate, using the acquired knowledge, capable of advanced engineering while a production engineering-oriented graduate will be able to foresee mechanical conditions in manufacturing processes (reshaping). Using calculation simulations and therein based analyses, he or she will be able to optimise the parameters of the technological process.
