Laboratory for Dynamics of Machines and Structures
Rational Fraction Polynomial method implementation for experimental modal identification

Abstract
Experimental modal analysis is used to identify the modal parameters of the structure (natural frequencies, damping, modal shapes) based on the measured frequency response functions. The goal of the thesis is to implement the Rational Fraction Polynomial (RFP) method for experimental modal analysis in Python, and to include the implementation in the existing open-source package pyEMA. The code must include the tests that ensure the correctness of the identified parameters, the experimental data for the test functions will be obtained both from the synthetic and real experiments. The thesis consists of the RFP method research, programming and experimental work.
