This research covers the possibilities of full-field contactless displacement measurements with high-speed video analysis. Measurement of 3D displacements can be achieved with a stereoscopic camera setup. Displacements can be determined by identifying patterns in the image (Digital image correlation), or by monitoring colour deviations on a selected area with respect to the preliminary image. The identified displacement can be very small, much smaller than one pixel. The sequence of displacements can later be used for modal analysis.
